Stuart Sweeney spent 23 years in investment banking in London and New York. Latterly he ran European corporate and public sector debt capital markets at UBS. He has a PPE degree and doctorate from Oxford, where he taught modern history. He has published two history books and journal articles, most recently The Europe Illusion (2019). Stuart has been involved in pro bono charity work for several years. He has worked in social investment at CAF Venturesome before joining SASC as an investment director in 2019. He sits on the SEND partnership board in Kingston for vulnerable children in the borough.
