John Stout

John is an experienced lending professional who has spent over 30 years providing debt funding for leveraged- buyouts and large corporate acquisitions. John’s approach is to ensure that he fully understands the headwinds that businesses face and management’s approach to managing them, as it is the management team that ensures the long-term success of the business. It’s also very much about sharing best practice with portfolio clients in order to ensure they have access to all we can provide to help them progress quickly with their chosen strategy, while remaining aware that all businesses can face issues with changing economic environments and ensuring the portfolio team maintains a supportive approach due these periods.

John joined SASC in March 2025, having previously worked at a number of clearing banks for over 30 years in a variety of roles including leverage finance, loan syndication, business support and corporate strategy.

John is a qualified Accountant and has an MBA from the University of Warwick.
