Social and Sustainable Capital (SASC) has made an investment of £2.135 million in Oasis Charitable Trust (OCT) through its Social and Sustainable Housing Fund II (SASH II), to support vulnerable families with children attending OCT´s schools in Sheffield and Scunthorpe. OCT is also providing a £420k grant for this project alongside the SASH II loan.
OCT was established in 1985, by Reverend Steve Chalke. The charity works nationally and in local neighbourhoods to build stronger communities, where people can thrive and no one is left out. The organisation works to end disadvantage and create opportunity for all, providing education, housing, health, justice, youth and family support.
